Privacy Policy

Alertify.AI collects only what is needed to provide scam detection:

• Clipboard content — text you copy is temporarily analyzed then immediately discarded
• SMS messages — incoming texts are analyzed for threat detection
• On-screen text — when Accessibility Monitor is enabled, visible text is analyzed for scam patterns
• Phone numbers — incoming call numbers are analyzed when Call Screening is enabled
• Push notification token — used only to deliver threat alerts to your device
• Device identifier — basic identifier required for push notifications

We do not collect your name, email, location, photos, or any personal information beyond the above.

Information collected is used exclusively for:

• Analyzing content for scam, phishing, and social engineering threats in real time
• Delivering push notifications when threats are detected
• Improving scam detection accuracy

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose unrelated to scam detection.

Alert history is stored locally on your device. You can delete all alerts at any time from Settings → Data → Clear All Alerts.

Content sent to our analysis server is processed in real time and immediately discarded. We do not maintain logs of analyzed content.

• Anthropic Claude API — AI analysis of potentially scam content
• Google Safe Browsing API — URL threat checking. Only the URL is transmitted
• Expo Push Notifications — delivers threat alerts to your device
• Render — hosts our backend server in the United States

• Accessibility Service — reads on-screen text to detect scams across all apps. Can be disabled anytime in Android Settings
• Receive SMS / Read SMS — monitors incoming texts for scam detection
• Call Screening — analyzes incoming call numbers. Calls are never recorded
• Contacts — reads contact list to avoid flagging messages from people you know
• Camera — used only when you choose to scan a physical document
• Foreground Service — keeps protection running in background. A notification is always shown
• Internet — required to communicate with our threat analysis server

Alert history stays on your device until you delete it. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data. Our servers retain no user-specific data after analysis is complete.

• HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
• Local SQLite database with no remote access
• No persistent storage of analyzed content on our servers
• Regular security reviews of backend infrastructure

Alertify.AI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information and we will promptly delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated by updating the date above and, where appropriate, through an in-app notification. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated policy.
